Co-creation Platform as a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)
The projects developed by "TAKUMIBITO" do not stem from standard outsourcing relationships.
Our foundation features a strong and flexible co-creation mechanism that transcends the boundaries of individual artists, which can only be achieved because we are a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP).
Core Foundation for Artist-Led Collaborative Projects
While prioritizing the artist's perspective, we drive projects forward as a powerful team in joint and collaborative initiatives involving multiple creators. With pride, we bring the synergy of new and valuable craftsmanship to the world.
Centralized Contact Window for Multiple Artists
LLP centralizes the contact window for terms coordination, contracts, and other administrative matters. We facilitate collaborations and co-creations that were previously difficult to realize due to the challenges of individual coordination and discrepancies in communication with multiple artists.
High Reliability and Transparency as an Organization
We are a registered entity defined by law (the LLP Act), and the limited liability of our member artists is guaranteed. This allows us to develop large-scale businesses while building solid, long-term relationships of trust with corporations, governments, and important partners both domestically and internationally.
INITIATIVES
Major Achievements
TAKUMIBITO -Creation of Beauty and Technique-
An exhibition was held at the Shokado Art Museum featuring a collaborative display by member artists of TAKUMIBITO who are active in different fields. Pursuing the ideals cultivated by Kyoto's traditional crafts, we widely communicate the form of art pieces suitable for modern and future lifestyles.
Sweets Plates & Confectionery for Online Tea Gatherings
In response to changing times and "new ways to enjoy tea," we developed a set consisting of sweets plates and confectionery optimized for online tea gatherings. It created a rich, sensory experience, allowing participants to share the same aesthetic sense even when apart.
Kissako ~First, enjoy a bowl of tea~
Based on the concept of "providing rich moments through tea," this project was jointly held with multiple organizations at Porta Gallery Hana. In addition to displaying and selling tea utensils, it created a multi-faceted space to experience tea culture, including Matcha and Gyokuro tea gatherings and collaborative menus with neighboring restaurants.
Kuraya Kiyomizu-Gojo Premium Week
The furnishings of "Kuraya Kiyomizu-Gojo," a Machiya (traditional townhouse) inn in Kyoto City, were completely replaced with works by TAKUMIBITO artists. We proposed a new way to encounter crafts by planning a unique accommodation-style exhibition where guests could use the craft pieces in a real living space and purchase them directly.
Heisei Kyomachiya × Heisei Takumibito
Set in a "Heisei Kyomachiya," which integrates traditional Kyoto wisdom with modern energy-saving technology, works by TAKUMIBITO member artists were arranged to propose a living space where tradition and modern life beautifully resonate. It conveyed the richness of having creators' designs breathe inside contemporary architectural spaces.
